This 2-day BPCA course on the 13th-14th April and the 16th-17th November is designed for anyone interested in bird control, from those new to the industry and to those who want to expand their knowledge and expertise. The course includes discussions on the range of equipment and products available as well as practical demonstrations.

Cost is £295.00 for BPCA members or £350.00 for non members
The course fee includes course materials, lunches/refreshments & exam entry fee. Accommodation is not included.

The aim of this course is to train technicians and their managers on the safe, effective and legal use of air guns for bird control. Theory will be covered in the morning session, with a shooting practical in the afternoon. The course starts with the basics for newcomers, but also comprehensively covers a lot of procedures and techniques for the experienced shooter.
Air rifles will be provided, although we do advise delegates to bring their own for use and testing. Outdoor clothing and shooting glasses will be required.
Bird Control Legislation, Air Rifle Legislation and Safety Guidelines, Equipment: Selection and maintenance.
Ballistics, trajectories, muzzle velocities and zeroing.
Preparation, Safety Guidelines and Police Liaison.
An opportunity to have your Air Rifles inspected and tested.
Marksman techniques. Air Rifles will be provided, although we do advise delegates to bring their own for use and testing. Outdoor clothing will be required.
